As MBOLD works to scale innovation in protein sustainability, we are excited to welcome Minnesota-based Laketown Mills to our Bold Growth entrepreneurship initiative.
Laketown Mills is a growing leader in wholesale ingredient manufacturing providing specialty plant proteins, oils, & fibers along with co-manufacturing services at their pilot plant outside Minneapolis. Through Bold Growth, their team will receive strategic guidance, technical advice and marketing insights from AURI, Naturally Minnesota and other MBOLD leaders.
“We’re excited to support Laketown Mills in scaling their high-quality hemp protein offerings and leveraging their capabilities to process hemp protein concentrate for food and hemp meal for animal feed,” shared Shannon Schlecht, Executive Director of AURI. “Laketown’s hemp protein and cold-processing technologies can provide great value to our regional protein ecosystem and we look forward to advancing their growth.”
The Bold Growth program is a collaboration between MBOLD, AURI and Naturally Minnesota, with funds provided by the State of Minnesota.
