Minnesota-based brand’s rapid rise highlights the role of mentorship and collaboration in scaling food and beverage innovation
Minneapolis–Saint Paul, Minn. (March 24, 2026) — So Good So You, a Minneapolis-based functional wellness brand and early participant in MBOLD’s Bold Growth program, has been acquired by Bansk Group, a consumer-focused private investment firm.
The milestone reflects the company’s rapid ascent from emerging startup to the number-one wellness shot brand in the U.S., helping define and scale one of the fastest-growing categories in food and beverage.
So Good So You was part of MBOLD’s inaugural Bold Growth cohort—an initiative designed to help high-potential companies navigate key inflection points through tailored mentorship, strategic connections, and access to corporate executives across Minnesota’s food and agriculture ecosystem.
“Through their deep network and connections, MBOLD’s Bold Growth program provided invaluable support during a critical stage of our brand’s lifecycle,” said Rita Katona, co-founder and Chief Brand Officer of So Good So You. “When we joined the program, refrigerated wellness shots were barely a $100 million category. Today, it has grown to $600 million with a clear path to more than $1 billion—and we’re proud to be leading that space.”
Eric Hall, co-founder and CEO, emphasized the role of mentorship and strategic guidance in the company’s trajectory. “The mentorship, thought partnership, and access to senior-level individuals helped shape the strategy behind our growth acceleration,” Hall said. “We are incredibly grateful for the program’s support and guidance—and we strongly encourage others in the Minnesota food and beverage ecosystem to consider this value-add program.”
Since its participation in Bold Growth, So Good So You has achieved rapid expansion, including six consecutive appearances on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies, along with significant growth in distribution and category leadership.
“So Good So You’s trajectory shows what’s possible when strong founders are supported by an ecosystem that’s aligned around helping them scale,” said JoAnne Berkenkamp, Managing Director of MBOLD. “Bold Growth is designed to meet companies at critical moments—connecting them with experienced corporate executives, strategic insight, and the relationships that can help unlock their next stage of growth.”
MBOLD’s Bold Growth program connects emerging companies with executives from organizations including Cargill, General Mills, Target, Schwan’s Company, and others, offering hands-on mentorship and strategic guidance tailored to each company’s needs.
As MBOLD continues to expand its efforts to support innovation across food and agriculture—including its Protein Catalyst initiative—the organization is seeking its next cohort of high-potential companies.
